Sixty-two percent of respondents are executives in companies with $1 billion and more in revenue. Respondents operate in a range of industries from all global regions.<\/p>\n<p>Roughly 69% of respondents believe their companies will increase cybersecurity spending in 2022. Twenty-six percent anticipate a double-digit rise.<\/p>\n<div id=\"everviz-W-LAQO_xo\" class=\"everviz-W-LAQO_xo\"><script src=\"https:\/\/app.everviz.com\/inject\/W-LAQO_xo\/\" defer=\"defer\"><\/script><\/div>\n<div class=\"everviz-W-LAQO_xo\">PwC&#8217;s research underlines how secure ecosystems depend heavily on collaborators and the need for public-private cooperation.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div id=\"everviz-HMX6LuFX3\" class=\"everviz-HMX6LuFX3\"><script src=\"https:\/\/app.everviz.com\/inject\/HMX6LuFX3\/\" defer=\"defer\"><\/script><\/div>\n<p>&#8212;<\/p>\n<p>Many companies \u2014 startups and established firms \u2014 are producing sophisticated tools to combat cyber threats.<\/p>\n<p>CB Insights&#8217; &#8220;State of Cybersecurity Q1 22 Report&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbinsights.com\/research\/report\/cybersecurity-trends-q1-2022\/\">addresses<\/a> global investments in cybersecurity businesses. According to the report, investments declined 32% in Q2 2022 from the previous quarter but were higher than in the same quarter in 2021.<\/p>\n<div id=\"everviz-EO6TZPZYG\" class=\"everviz-EO6TZPZYG\"><script src=\"https:\/\/app.everviz.com\/inject\/EO6TZPZYG\/\" defer=\"defer\"><\/script><\/div>\n<p>Per CB Insights, the number of global cybersecurity <a href=\"https:\/\/www.practicalecommerce.com\/charts-ecommerce-unicorns-2021\">unicorns<\/a> \u2014 private companies valued at $1 billion or more \u2014 rose to 65 in the first quarter of 2022, roughly double from the end of Q1 2021.<\/p>\n<div id=\"everviz-XHcigcx41\" class=\"everviz-XHcigcx41\"><script src=\"https:\/\/app.everviz.com\/inject\/XHcigcx41\/\" defer=\"defer\"><\/script><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The rise of global cyber fraud has promoted elevated prevention expenditures by businesses and a flurry of funding in cybersecurity firms by investors.
