The charts below show B2C marketplaces ranked by the number of visits in August 2023 \u2014 worldwide and in select countries.<\/p>\n<p>We define &#8220;marketplaces&#8221; as platforms that sell products or services without taking ownership of those items.<\/p>\n<p>With an average of 2.5 billion monthly visits in August 2023, Amazon was by far the most widely used online consumer marketplace in the world, according to traffic estimates from Similarweb. eBay had the second-most monthly visits at roughly 723 million.<\/p>\n<div id=\"everviz-uLhkK7RfZ\" class=\"everviz-uLhkK7RfZ\"><script src=\"https:\/\/app.everviz.com\/inject\/uLhkK7RfZ\/?v=7\" defer=\"defer\"><\/script><\/div>\n<div class=\"everviz-uLhkK7RfZ\">&#8211;<\/div>\n<p>Amazon&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.practicalecommerce.com\/amazons-b2b-marketplace-dominates\">dominance<\/a> in the United States remained evident.<\/p>\n<div id=\"everviz-ScdeOv7wP\" class=\"everviz-ScdeOv7wP\"><script src=\"https:\/\/app.everviz.com\/inject\/ScdeOv7wP\/?v=6\" defer=\"defer\"><\/script><\/div>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>In August 2023, Amazon.co.uk secured the top spot as the most visited online marketplace in the United Kingdom, with Ebay.co.uk coming in second and Etsy.com ranking third.<\/p>\n<div id=\"everviz-o-__UJNpo\" class=\"everviz-o-__UJNpo\"><script src=\"https:\/\/app.everviz.com\/inject\/o-__UJNpo\/?v=5\" defer=\"defer\"><\/script><\/div>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>With 305.5 million visits in August 2023, Taobao was the most popular marketplace in China.<\/p>\n<div id=\"everviz-2HoJ4UZrg\" class=\"everviz-2HoJ4UZrg\"><script src=\"https:\/\/app.everviz.com\/inject\/2HoJ4UZrg\/?v=6\" defer=\"defer\"><\/script><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Amazon is the dominant B2C marketplace \u2014 in U.S. and worldwide.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2426,"featured_media":1517998,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":"","_wp_rev_ctl_limit":""},"categories":[13092],"tags":[58315],"class_list":["post-1526421","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-amazon-marketplaces","tag-charts",""],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v25.2 (Yoast SEO v25.2) -
