Only Google knows some factors, such as click-throughs, long clicks, site authority, and reputation.<\/p>\n<p>However, public data can be helpful. Examples include keyword usage, content structure, and backlinks.<\/p>\n<p>Here are tools to easily extract public signals and compare them to competitors.<\/p>\n<h3>Thruuu<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/thruuu.com\/free-seo-tools\/page-comparison-tool\">Thruuu<\/a> offers a free tool to compare two URLs side by side. The comparison includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Word count,<\/li>\n<li>Image count,<\/li>\n<li>Publication and &#8220;last modified&#8221; dates,<\/li>\n<li>Number of internal and external links pointing to a page (but not the links themselves),<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.practicalecommerce.com\/3-tools-to-build-validate-schema-markup\">Schema usage<\/a>,<\/li>\n<li>Content headings,<\/li>\n<li>Frequent terms and their count, as well as &#8220;unique&#8221; terms not on the competing page.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The comparisons of headings and unique terms were the most useful for me. Here&#8217;s a snapshot of the unique term comparison for the two pages I analyzed. But in my testing, it didn&#8217;t correlate with higher rankings.
