The goal was to understand respondents&#8217; expectations for the companies they invest in and cover and their views on risks and technology, including generative AI.<\/p>\n<p>Thirty-six percent of respondents replied the companies they <a href=\"https:\/\/www.practicalecommerce.com\/charts-global-ma-activity\">own or cover<\/a> are &#8220;highly&#8221; or &#8220;extremely&#8221; exposed to geopolitical conflict and cyber risk.<\/p>\n<div id=\"everviz-j4IYaYkyb\" class=\"everviz-j4IYaYkyb\"><script src=\"https:\/\/app.everviz.com\/inject\/j4IYaYkyb\/?v=6\" defer=\"defer\"><\/script><\/div>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Investors emphasized the importance of companies adapting business models<span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;\">.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.practicalecommerce.com\/charts-tech-impact-on-global-fund-managers-q3-2024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Technological<\/a><\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.practicalecommerce.com\/charts-tech-impact-on-global-fund-managers-q3-2024\">\u00a0change<\/a> was the top priority, followed by government regulation, shifts in customer preferences, and supply chain instability.<\/p>\n<div id=\"everviz-Iun5wEI5w\" class=\"everviz-Iun5wEI5w\"><script src=\"https:\/\/app.everviz.com\/inject\/Iun5wEI5w\/?v=5\" defer=\"defer\"><\/script><\/div>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Generative AI will drive significant performance gains without compromising employees&#8217; roles, according to the respondents.
