For example, apparel with stitching needs can only be labeled &#8220;fair.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Mistake in grading \u2014 too much or too little \u2014 erodes trust.<\/p>\n<p>A second form of grading applies to collectible goods. Books, for example, often have grades such as &#8220;mint,&#8221; &#8220;fine,&#8221; and &#8220;near fine,&#8221; each with a specific definition.<\/p>\n<p>When products have a standard and accepted grading system, use it.<\/p>\n<h4>Listing<\/h4>\n<p>Where to list \u2014 offer or sale \u2014 a secondhand, refurbished, or overstock item requires market awareness and understanding, and a bit of skill.<\/p>\n<p>The listing should be priced competitively for a given market.
